Oh my gourd! It's time for the OCTOBER community work day! There is plenty to do as the season winds down, so please join us Saturday, 10/10 at 9 am by the sheds to choose a task. (If you haven't fulfilled your volunteer hours this year, please know that there is only one more official work day scheduled... and that there are always ways to complete your hours on your own time.) Our annual meeting will take place Saturday, October 24, 11 am at the Tenleytown public library! Come out in this election season to help choose our next president and members of our board. S P O O K Y 🍅 S E A S O N Now that fall is here, many gardeners are clearing out summer plants that are no longer producing. Please remember to borrow some loppers from the shed and chop up long and/or woody material (sunflower stalks, tomato plants, squash vines, etc. etc.) before adding it to the compost heap! Thanks to @jennfiore_ for sending this gorgeous snap of a black swallowtail caterpillar hanging out on a dill plant! 💛💚🖤 The September community work day is this Saturday! Do you still have volunteer hours to make up? Come on out at 9 am to the sheds and take an assignment... Who's feeling fall? BONUS WOOD CHIPS! We have plenty to go around - find these between the dog park and playground, near the staircase! How's tomato season going in your plot?
