We've come to the end of the garden season, sigh...By Sunday, 11/30, your plot should be prepared for winter. Stay cozy, everyone! If you did your compost management session, you know to grab a set of these and give your plant stems a chop-chop-chop before you bring them to the compost heap! If you haven't done this mandatory training, you have a chance Sat. 11/22 at 9 am. See Joe's message to the listerv for much more info on our community compost. Time flies! This Saturday, Nov. 8, is the final community work day of the year. Meet up by the sheds at 9 am - there are plenty of tasks to go around! It's November (!!!) - the month we put our plots to bed for the winter! Please see the message sent this week by President Ryan with info on how you should do so. Our Annual Membership Meeting is this Saturday, 10/25, at 10 am at the community room at the police station at 3320 Idaho Ave. just next to the garden. We'll hear updates from our president, treasurer, and committees, elect new board members, and enjoy some snacks and door prizes. Hope to see you there! Have you completed your required compost management training session yet? Only 2 more are scheduled this season: Sun. Oct. 19 at 4 pm and Sun. Oct. 26 at 10 am. See you there! Saturday (10/11) is the PENULTIMATE volunteer work day for 2025! Come on out at 9 am to help with various tasks around the garden. If you have questions about your volunteer hours and how to get more in, see Adrianna's email to the listserv! o c t o b e r ! Everything is looking refreshed after the first real rain in ages!
